Andrew Farber, Esq.
Mr. Farber is our chief executive officer and our chief compliance officer. He has operated a commercial law practice in Florida since 1987, and brings over 33 years of legal and compliance experience to our management team.
Mr. Farber’s life changed when one of his daughters contracted a rare, debilitating autoimmune condition that caused the tissue between her skin and muscles to become fibrotic and harden, leading to the loss of the full use of her hands and lower limbs. She was initially treated her with mega-doses of steroids and a host of other anti-rejection drugs, each of which caused serious and unbearable side effects. His daughter halted her pharmaceutical treatments and began to self medicate with cannabis, which miraculously controlled her condition without any adverse effects. She now leads a normal life, has married, and has started a family.
Upon seeing the profound effect that cannabis had on his daughter’s life, Mr. Farber wound down his legal practice, started the Company, and decided to open up medical cannabis and wellness practices in the hope of helping others who couldn’t tolerate the effects of, or who became resistant to, their conventional medicines. He remains grateful for the opportunity to do so.
Mr. Farber earned his law degree from the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC, and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
Craig Bishop, DO
Dr. Bishop, our medical director, and is Board Certified in Family Medicine through the American Osteopathic Association. He is a member of both the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association and the Academy of Family Physicians and is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. He completed his residency at Northside Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, and regularly continues his nutrition and holistic based medical studies under the instruction of leading experts in the field, including the renown, Cornell based team of T. Colin Campbell, PhD and Thomas Campbell, MD.
Dr. Bishop has been in private practice for over 20 years as a shareholder of Valdosta Family Medicine Associates, a multi-discipline medical practice located in Valdosta, Georgia, and is an advocate of holistic, naturopathic, plant based and preventative medicine. His natural approach to medicine has fueled his interest in the use of medicinal cannabis as a treatment for chronic conditions and diseases, and allows him to treat patients holistically rather than concentrating on their individual disease or symptom. His appointments to the faculty of Georgia Health Sciences University and the Medical College of Georgia allow him to educate young physicians and physician assistants regarding the importance of preventative medicine, plant based nutrition and medicine, and emotional well-being, and enables him to offer them years of insight regarding both medicine based and alternative treatment healing approaches that factor in emotional and spiritual factors as a means of promoting better overall healing and improved outcomes.
Bhavin Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is our clinical director. From June of 2014 to date, he has served as chief operating officer and practice manager of three central Florida primary care medical walk-in clinics, doing business as Affordable Care Clinics, that sub-specialize in medical cannabis consultations, anti-addiction services, and medi-spa services. He also provides practice management and operational consulting support to a mobile-based medical clinic serving large employer groups seeking to ensure the wellness of their employees. His experience provides us with the unique ability to train our physicians, assess existing practice workflow and documentation protocols, and maximize the office efficiencies and documentation practices of medical cannabis and wellness practices with a view towards making them more profitable and regulatory compliant.
Dr. Patel is a graduate from St. Matthews’ University School of Medicine in George Town, Grand Cayman, BWI, and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida.
